Sacred Spore was born out of a need to heal. A personal need to heal, a need to heal family, and a need to heal our community. What started as a vehicle to heal the self, transcended into a need to help the whole. I believe, and nearly all of science seems to agree, that psilocybin has the most potential to help our hurting and suffering community. Whether it's the soldier back from his third tour of duty dealing with PTSD, or the nurse working years on end trying to save lives from COVID suffering from anxiety from seeing so much suffering. Whether it's the school teacher battling depression because she doesn’t know how she can possibly help ALL the students with their issues stemming from the pandemic, or the alcoholic trying his best to beat the disease of addiction before it ruins his life. Psilocybin is giving people hope, a light when they find themselves in a dark and lonely place. It’s not like the pharmaceuticals on the market that create dependence, psilocybin actually creates new neural pathways, literally reawakens neural pathways lost to depression and allows people a new way forward, a break in the chain of negative thoughts and feelings.
This is no longer conjecture, this isn’t just someone’s opinion or someone’s skewed analysis. Psilocybin has passed the most rigorous of scientific analysis and testing imaginable and has shocked much of the scientific community with its efficacy rates. And what’s more? It’s safe. It’s better tolerated by the body than even Tylenol. Whether it's Johns Hopkins College, or Yale, or Berkeley, or Mount Sinai or the Imperial College of London, they all agree that the science of Psilocybin is important enough to build new curriculums around. We are here to help facilitate the healing and growth that psilocybin mushrooms offer.
Sacred Spore exists out of a need to help, a need to have a positive impact on the world. Cultivating the best, most reliable medicine for therapeutic uses here in Oregon and finding partners to work with to keep it available to all who seek it, is our primary goal.
